However, you may be wondering if helium balloons are disallowed at Misty Daydream. We are here to set the record straight and tell you that helium balloons are not only allowed, but they are also encouraged! One of the biggest is that they can be disruptive if not used properly. For example, if you release too many helium balloons into the sky, they could end up blocking traffic or causing other problems. Additionally, if not disposed of properly, helium balloons can damage the environment. When left to decompose, the latex in helium balloons release methane gas, which is a greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change.

Biodegradable Balloons

Our biodegradable balloons are composed of high quality natural latex, an organic substance that degrades over time but can take months. When balloons penetrate the environment, they pose a risk. Spent balloons should be disposed of responsibly. We recommend breaking them up into little pieces and disposing of them in your regular rubbish, where they will safely degrade. Rubber balloons will not contain helium for more than 6-8 hours, thus if using helium, they should be filled soon before usage.
